Dads, This Blog Post is for You!

Mother’s Day is right around the corner… have you decided on how you will celebrate the special mother in your life?

We have a quick gift from the kids that she will love, which also makes for great writing practice…a Mother’s Day appreciation card! They’re super simple to make.

Grab an index card, fold a piece of regular sized paper in half, or use any other type of small paper. Then have the kids brainstorm all the awesome things they love about Mom, and ways they can help her or show her how much she is appreciated. On the card, have them write one awesome thing about Mom, and one way they plan on showing their appreciation.

For example: “I know you work hard, Mom! I will clean my room without you having to ask.”

Then it’s time to decorate! Allow the kids to make the note as fancy as they wish, with nice lettering, drawings, stickers, etc. Then enjoy a day full of celebrating Mom!
