We are so grateful for everything that Langsford has done for our son (currently in 1st grade). We talk about it with him often to remind him how much his hard work over the summer has paid off!He’s been getting good grades in reading/spelling, and he truly enjoys reading/writing! It has been amazing to see him create his own stories and to read everything around him! He is truly a happier kid and he is proud of how far he has come.It’s been 5 months since he finished at Langsford, but just tonight he talked about his favorite Langsford instructors!We actually sent our son to Langsford because his uncle (his father’s brother) went there over 30 years ago—and he and his family still talk about how incredible it was!

Langsford is AMAZING! My 4th grader is very bright, but was struggling with reading. The wonderful people at Lansford taught him the things that he needed, which gave him the confidence to read well. In 18 weeks, he is now reading at a 5th grade level and getting him to read isn't a nightmare. We couldn't be happier with the results. I highly recommend Langsford, if your child is struggling.

My son did well on tests and no teacher ever said he may be struggling, but I noticed his MAP scores were not increasing in reading or vocabulary. We chose to have him tested and found he was at least 2 grades behind where he should be with reading. He worked hard every day and with the help of the superior specialists he found a genre of books he enjoyed, mystery. His MAP scores have increased, he sounds out words he does not know, and enjoys reading. The staff is amazing and truly cares about their students. My son has gained confidence, reading techniques, and summarizing skills that are typically learned at a much higher grade. We are thrilled and would recommend Langsford to any struggling student.

My daughter (3rd grade) had been experiencing difficulty with reading and spelling for a few years (since Kindergarten), so we finally decided to get some outside help. I knew about Langsford because several of my own students had attended, but until I experienced it first-hand, I did not know just how life-changing attending Langsford could be! After her time at Langsford, my daughter has become a more confident and capable reader and speller. She does not have "breakdowns" at home around reading and spelling like she used to, and she has acquired so many decoding and encoding skills, which she then applies to her work! She loves the relationships she has built with her Langsford teachers and she has never once complained about going (even after a full day of school). If you think your child may benefit from some expert-guided reading, writing, or spelling help, I cannot recommend Langsford enough!

Last year, our daughter really struggled with reading. My husband and I were worried and did not want her self-esteem to be affected. Our youngest daughter struggled to read. We tried different teaching techniques, but nothing seemed to work. We found out about Langsford from a friend and decided to have her evaluated. We found out she was presenting as having dyslexia. We sat on it for a while because the course at Langsford is quite expensive, but in the end we enrolled her.Fast forward over a year and our daughter is in attending a pretty rigorous classical Christian school and crushing it. It wasn't for certain if she'd get back to grade level for reading, but she did. We have no regrets on sending her to Langsford. We are thankful we figured out what was going on with our daughter's reading and had a solution for it.

When my daughter started 4th grade, I could tell she was struggling with reading comprehension and was getting frustrated doing her homework. She would read the words on the page, but couldn’t make the "movies in her head” to help her actually understand and picture what she was reading. After having her evaluated, we realized not only was she struggling with comprehension, but she also lacked phonemic awareness and had basically gotten by just remembering whole sight words. She didn’t have the skills to decode words that she might not have seen before, which resulted in her reading and spelling below her grade level. After working with Langsford for about 10 months, she is now way more confident in her reading, spelling, and comprehension skills. I can personally see a huge change from when we started and her re-evaluation showed that she gained years in multiple skill areas in only months. Even though the sessions were online, I still felt like she built good relationships with her instructors. My daughter loved all of the instructors and really enjoyed her experience. While it was a lot of work for her to do almost everyday after school, they made it fun so it didn’t feel like work. We are so happy we chose Langsford and know the skills they have taught her will help her far into the future.Overall, we highly recommend Langsford if your child needs help with reading! Everyone (instructors, learning specialist, scheduler, etc.) we interacted with at Langsford was so friendly and helpful. I was never left wondering what was going on because they kept us up to date on everything! I couldn't ask for better communication. They were also very accommodating and flexible with our schedule.

We enrolled our daughter at Langsford with the goal of improving her reading confidence in preparation for moving to a new school for First Grade. She really enjoyed the program, thanking us multiple times for signing her up! As we watched her confidence blossom and frustration diminish, it was validating that the program was exactly the boost she needed to help some pre-reading things click that just weren’t clicking for her prior. She loved the staff she interacted with, and we were provided with some excellent home resources to continue her progression over the summer.
